Observatorio a Seva

Centre for Astronomical Studies, Exhibition Centre, Auditorium, Observation Fields.

The site is today a pine tree forest, with a strong slope towards the south.
The programme incorporates areas for research and divulgation.
The Educational Centre is a big roof in the middle of the forest; it appearance is that of a rock, without distinction between wall and roof. It is all built with the same material, metal corrugated panels, wrapping the whole volume.
The Research Centre, however, has a more domestic image, with the combination of the telescopic domes and houses for the scientists.
In this ensemble there is a third element, treated as part of the outside arrangement of the land: This takes the form of a field of small domes for dilettanti, called Observation Fields. The area is surrounded by short vegetation that makes them look a part of the garden.
